KELLY STILL WATERS

Kelly fought against Pentex destroying one of their major operations in the late 60's.
She then as Voice of the Goddess was asked to mediate a tribal war between The Red Talons and the Get of Fenris.
Treacherously she and her pack were attack by packs of both tribes.<br>
She still tried to halt the fighting and would have succeeded if not for the Get Alpha.
She defeated the Alpha of the Get pack after he lept at her to renew the fighting.
The rest of the Get furious at seeing their leader slain joined the attack, followed shortly behind by the red talons.
Fighting bravely, her companion Paul Awakes-before-the-sun
(who was at the time appointed the Arm of the Goddess) was seriously wounded by the attacks of three red talons.
She carried him out the way of the battle, but on returning discovered three red talon pups trapped under
a burning log in a fire set as a distraction.
I quote now from the song of Kelly Still Waters:

Fearful Yapping, off in the woods
fearful yapping, and under
a burning log she found
a litter of Red Talon pups,
no mother or father near.
Staring at them, her pain melted away,
and the odd awareness of her childhood
returned:
Everyliving thing is sacred, infused with
the dance of life, and love spilled out of
her into the universe

She tossed the log off them, picked up the pups,
then walked with great purpose towards the
Red Talons and Get of Fenris.
They saw her, fur smoldering,
walk alone out of the inferno,
then approach Red Tail and hand him the
pups. "Here," she said
Then she fell onto the cold earth, dead.
The Talons and Get stared long at the
body, not daring to touch her.

When Paul recovered, he did not press vengence.
"No, Kelly would not want that," he said.
The Red Talons and Get did not renew
their attack, and Red Tail held her name
in honor after that.
Quiet peace fell on the north,
Kelly's legacy.

This is what it means to be Children of Gaia.
She demonstrated her ability to fight the evil and gave her life
to preserve peace amoung the Garou.
